Plumbing Clog Repair
This customer of my had an issue with his kitchen/2nd FL bathroom plumbing even though he had a newer house. He said he would have to get his drain line snaked about every 8 months (CRAZY!). When draining the tub, it would back up into the kitchen sink. After inspecting the garbage disposal/tub drain drain line, it was evident what the problem was. The drain line was 2" short of the minimum drop for the 20' line, on top of the fact that it had 0 pipe hangers on the entire run and was missing long sweep 90's in multiple spots. Where they did put blocks to support it, they just made the pipe run uphill and cause blockages. The pipe had about a 90% blockage in a couple spots. I cut out the existing 3" wye that connected to the drain line, and was able to get more than 2" of drop for better draining, especially given that the pipe will have discharge from the garbage disposal. Replaced 20' of drain line and everything is finally draining correctly. They've had this issue for 5 YEARS ever since they moved in...
