Complete Gut Bathroom Remodel
This bathroom was long overdue for an update. The wood accents, floor tile, popcorn ceiling, and tub insert had to go. This one was a complete gut, all the way down to the floor joist. The entire floor was WAY out of level and had to be shimmed up. We reframed the back wall to be plumb as well as to accommodate (2) new shower niches. After the framing was done, we set the tub. All the electric and plumbing was replaced. In the process of the rough-in, wiring was installed for the heated floor, low volt lighting, and in ceiling speaker. We installed wood look tile after installing heated floor for those cold winter mornings and nights. Tiled the shower, installed the rest of the fixtures and replaced the window. One of the last things to get installed was the crown molding for the cove lighting. Then came the fun part, installing the low volt lighting. We installed LED strip lighting in the crown molding cove, the shower niches, and under the vanity. All the lighting is on a scheduled dimmable motion sensor that dims the lights at night and in the morning, so you have no need to touch the lights at all when you're half asleep and just need to use the bathroom. This project turned out great! What a difference!
